Thermatek Y-50 Portable Thermal Label Printer

The Thermatek Y-50 is a portable label printer for price tags, shelf labels, product stickers and file labels up to 50mm wide. It weighs just 417 g and prints from a phone or a PC, giving small businesses neat, professional labels without a large desktop machine.

Key features

• Labels up to 50mm wide. The right size for price tags, product stickers, barcodes and QR codes.
• Bluetooth and USB. Print from your phone on the shop floor or from a computer at the desk.
• 203 dpi resolution. Small text and barcodes stay clear and easy to scan.
• Only 417 g. Light enough to carry along the shelves while you price stock.
• No ink or ribbon. Direct thermal printing means labels are the only thing you need to buy.

Where it fits

The Y-50 fits small shops pricing items on the shelf, pharmacies labelling medicine boxes and shelves, and F-commerce and home businesses putting product stickers on their packs. It is also useful in offices for file and folder labels. Note that it is sized for small labels; for 4-inch courier labels, a 4-inch desktop label printer is the better choice.

Paper and setup

It uses direct thermal labels with a maximum width of 50mm. No ink or ribbon is required. It prints at 20–50 mm/s and connects by Bluetooth to a phone or by USB to a computer.
