This 220 mm × 300 m premium wax ribbon is a thermal-transfer ribbon for barcode and label printers. The printhead melts the ink from the film onto the label, giving sharp, dark barcodes and text that last far longer than direct-thermal printing. It is wound ink side out on a standard core, the way most industrial printers load ribbon.

Wax or wax-resin?
Wax ribbons are the right choice for paper labels that are used within weeks or months — courier labels, product and price labels, shelf labels and carton labels. If your labels are on coated or film stock, get rubbed a lot, or must last longer (pharmaceutical, cold storage, export cartons), choose a wax-resin ribbon instead.
Choosing the right width
The ribbon should be at least as wide as your label (so the whole label is printed) but not wider than the printer’s printhead. Using a ribbon close to your label width saves money — for example, 55 or 70 mm ribbons for narrow garment and product labels, 110 mm for 4-inch shipping labels.
